ROY PEIRES

Hospitality Founder and Philanthropist

Early Business Leadership and Community Commitment

Roy Peires founded what would become the IDILIQ Group in the 1980s on Spain’s Costa del Sol. Shortly after establishing the business, he began supporting local charities – starting with Cudeca, a leading hospice providing free specialised palliative care for patients with terminal cancer.

Roy funded the Reception of Cudeca’s newly built Hospice facility, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership focused on dignity, care and compassion.

From Personal Giving to Structured Philanthropy

IDILIQ Foundation

Over time, Roy’s charitable efforts evolved into the IDILIQ Foundation – a formal charitable foundation dedicated to:

  • Hospice and palliative care support
  • Disability and developmental services
  • Mental health organisations
  • Cancer research fundraising
  • Community equipment and technology donations

His approach goes beyond financial donations. It includes infrastructure investment, vehicle funding, equipment provision, volunteer participation and strategic long-term partnerships.

A Vision for the Hospitality Industry

Kind Holidays
Roy Peires

Roy believes hospitality businesses can create profound social impact without compromising commercial performance.

Through Kind Holidays, he encourages hotels, resorts, airlines and other travel providers to donate unused capacity to families facing medical crisis, bereavement or trauma.

His belief is simple:

“By giving away a little time in your hotels each year, you can strengthen your team, improve retention and transform lives.”
